Position Details:
Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Meriden, CT
Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday (7am-3:30pm)
Compensation: $28 - $34/hour
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurance / 401(K) / Holidays + PTO

Position Description:
Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as machine tools, hydraulic and mechanical presses, production machines and equipment. - Services all vital factory systems; plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, heating and support equipment. Perform a wide variety of plant maintenance tasks as needed including:

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Monitor, identify and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, or atypical energy usage.
Perform troubleshooting and repair of production machinery.
Use hand and power tools.

Requirements:

4-6 years military experience in a mechanical or electrical role
Experience performing unscheduled maintenance on mechanical systems.
Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
Knowledge of blueprints and engineering drawings.
Ability to follow technical instructions.
