Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?Job Summary:We have a rare opportunity for a talented Materials Planner to be based in Middletown, CT. The Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) organization has an open position for driving our materials and logistics transformation.Responsibilities:Your responsibilities include executing materials transformation initiatives and driving a strategic materials management architecture. It will include the releasing of material, managing handling methods, kitting and material movement following the fundamentals of line back logistics.Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals with the business units/departments and objectives to meet capacity requirements, inventory controls, cost reduction objectives, on time delivery, and control tower measures. The individual will have the opportunity to work directly with CSMC administration, materials, operations and 3PL organizations as well as the internal manufacturing groups to redefine processes, execute on business requirements and deliver to customer expectations* Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on change management.* You should excel at forward thinking and insure that CSMC is transforming to meet the customer demands of a difficult manufacturing environment. Successful individuals will:* Execute strategies and oversee activities through multiple organizations* Establish and execute standards and expectations for work effort and performance. Give constant feedback on performance to those standards* Implement lean manufacturing measures to insure value streams and shop operations are balanced at all times and/or to be able to identify areas of opportunity quickly* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and other organizations to ensure customer happiness.* Communicate to peers and management, the requirements that support processes to ensure smooth production flow.* Establish system architecture designs that take into account customer requirements, resource availability, and other prioritiesRequired Qualifications:* BS/BA degree with 5+ years of experience required.* U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts.Preferred Qualifications:* Degree in a technical discipline such as Industrial Engineering or Operations Management preferred.* Experience utilizing SAP operating system* Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies, lean manufacturing system design and shop floor management execution* Advanced knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, ACE, QCPC)* Strong operational experience* Success working in a high energy and dynamic manufacturing environment with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions.* Aerospace industry preferredWhat is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
