The primary function of the advanced practice provider (APP) in Neurology is to provide care to and management of Neurology patients under the clinical supervision of the Neurology Clinical Director. He/she will work collaboratively with the physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants (MAs), and front-desk staff to support patients within the Neurology practice. -Minimum qualifications for APRN:

• Active unrestricted APRN license
• Masters of Science in Nursing
• Board certified either through ANCC or AANP
• Licensed for prescriptive authority in CT
• Independent decision making
  Minimum qualifications for Physician Assistant:
  • PA certification
  • Board certified either through ANCC or AANP
  • Licensed for prescriptive authority in CT
  • Independent decision making
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the field of Neurology -
    • Experience with neuroradiology (reading MRI, CT, EEG, EMG)
