available.Position Summary:
The Homecare Office Assistant is responsible for physician order
management which includes: submitting, organizing, reviewing and
processing all certifications, recertifications and verbal orders
for Homecare and Hospice. Additional responsibilities include but
are not limited to:
- Maintain a complete and accurate patient medical record to meet
regulatory compliance.
- Process physician orders daily to include but not limited to:
faxing/submitting physician orders for signature. Receive/review
returned orders and documents for regulatory compliance. Follow up
on missing information and outstanding documents to ensure
regulatory timelines are met.
- Scan/file documents into patient records to ensure a complete
and accurate patient medical record from admission through
discharge
- Process medical record requests
- Provide backup support to office processes and reception -
answer phones and direct calls in a professional, helpful and
friendly manner
- Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned by
the manager

Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Must have strong computer and organizational skills, attention
to detail and be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills with knowledge of
telephone etiquettePreferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with healthcare and medical terminology
