In addition, the organization has developed three wholly owned subsidiaries from the original pilot developments within the Weitzman Institute: the National Nurse Practitioner Residency and Fellowship Training Consortium (NNPRFTC), the National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement (NIMAA), and ConferMed.Job Description:JOB SUMMARYThe COVID Patient Communications Representative Temp assists the Operations department with all COVID-related patient communications including but not limited to letters, emails, text messages, and the patient portal. Regular duties include sending test results to patients via mail, email, and text, assisting patients with the patient portal, as well as tasks assigned by the supervisor. This position will be responsible for working weekends, including eight hours on Saturdays and a minimum of four hours on Sundays. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Patient Support team in sending patients COVID-19 test result letters via mail and emailAssist the Patient Experience team in sending patients COVID-19 test result information via text messagesActivate patient portal accounts and help patients with password resets and other login issuesWork as a member of the COVID Testing Support Team, assisting patients over the phone with registration, results, and other COVID testing-related inquiriesCommunicate with nursing staff and other clinicians to follow up on patients that cannot be contacted through usual channels or those that require clinical outreachCross-train as a back-up member of the Telehealth Patient Support Team, assisting patients over the phone with telehealth platform appointments and technical setup when neededOther related duties QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of Associates Degree with at least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting or related customer service field requiredComputer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications requiredAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends requiredLiterate and comfortable with texting, email, and patient engagement through phoneExcellent communication and patient engagement skills, with keen attention to detail, patient privacy and response timeExcel proficiency preferredExcellent organizational skillsExperience with Centricity, eClinicalWorks, and similar patient engagement platforms preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Combination of sustained periods of sitting at keyboard, walking and stair climbingPosition is 100% remote (work from home)Minimal lifting and carrying activities COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Bilingual, preferredThis position interfaces with patients, family members, and clinicians CONFIDENTIALITY Personal Health information is kept in strict confidence.
