Deliver efficient and reliable LAN Center Operational services
in accordance with published performance metrics and SLAs. Ensure
that appropriate operational standards for hardware, software, and
processes are established and maintained. Implement new
technologies, in concert with engineering organization, to support
and enhance operations and the distributed infrastructure.
Monitors LAN Server environment and responds to technical
problems utilizing a variety of server monitoring tools.
Ensures server backups are scheduled, maintained and verified
for successful completion to ensure a stable/reliable LAN
environment. Continuously builds knowledge of LAN communications in
a multiprotocol, leading edge environment in by assembling a new
server, including where to place hardware and software and
performing restore requests with minimal assistance.
Builds understanding of Change and Problem Management processes,
assessing impact of change or problems on the environment. Performs
established process functions and procedures to ensure
availability, integrity and dependability of LAN server
environment. Satisfactorily identifies and resolves problems while
making use of knowledge in technology environment. Responds to all
alerts in a timely manner, and track/determine recurring issues
providing information and proposing recommendations. Fosters
effective working relationship with team, customers, technical
support staff and vendors and seeks ways to enhance individual and
In absence of Intermediate or Senior, performs related duties as
assigned or requested by Manager. Works closely with LAN staff on
issues as needed, in order to achieve goal of strong knowledge. May
provide interface with vendors, engineers and business server
owners on implementation/installation/maintenance.
This position is supporting the CT data centers on-site.
Computer course certificate/diploma OR 3 months of experience in
at least one the following areas:
Experience in Microsoft Windows Server W2K12 / W2K16 /
Experience in building, maintaining, troubleshooting server
Experience with monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting
Experience with networking protocols including IPv4/v6, TCP/UDP,
