Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Dental insurance Life insurance A well-established law firm with a strong presence in Farmingdale, NY Specializes in municipal and school district litigation Handles a wide range of civil litigation and corporate counseling Stable, growing company with tremendous opportunity for career advancement Competitive compensation and benefits What You Will Be Doing Provide legal advice and counsel to boards of education and school administrators Represent school districts in education law, special education law, and municipal matters Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda and advisory opinions Handle litigation matters in state and federal courts Represent clients in administrative hearings and legal proceedings Draft and review contracts, policies, and governance documents Advise school districts on constitutional issues, labor matters, and regulatory compliance Support school district clients in risk management and legal strategy Maintain strong relationships with public education leaders and administrators Experience You Will Need Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school New York State Bar admission required Approximately 5 years of legal experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: Education law Special education law Municipal or public sector law Labor and employment law Litigation Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to provide clear legal guidance to public sector clients Experience working with government entities or public institutions is preferred
