or job site for part of their schedule and has a predefined
regular, recurring telework schedule. Lockheed Martin’s Sikorsky
business is seeking an Attorney who their position will report to
the Sikorsky General Counsel and is located in Stratford, CT at the
Sikorsky headquarters. The successful candidate will provide end to
end counsel on international and commercial contracting matters as
well as provide support for after-market execution. In addition to
supporting existing programs, the position supports business
development efforts related to new/expanded work with the Direct
Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS) pursuits, and
international customer pursuits. The selected attorney may also
provide support on U.S. government procurements, including Other
Transaction Agreements (OTAs), Commercial Services Agreements
(CSOs), and related non traditional vehicles. This position
requires an attorney with proven business-oriented outlook and
superior analytical, verbal and written skills and a strong
background in domestic and international commercial transactions,
including direct commercial sales to foreign governments, joint
ventures, teaming agreements and alliances. Activities may also
include supporting industrial cooperation and co-production
activities. Aerospace/defense industry experience is highly
desired. Experience with NATO country and EU transactions is a
plus. The attorney will also be expected to deliver targeted
training and guidance on best legal practices to senior leadership,
VPs, and functional experts. The attorney will conduct proactive
risk analyses, develop mitigation strategies, and advise functional
and business leaders on legal implications. Coordinate closely with
internal subject matter experts and, when needed, outside counsel
to resolve complex issues. The attorney is expected to stay current
on regulatory developments and recommend process improvements.
Basic Qualifications •JD degree from an accredited law school.
•Admitted in good standing to a state bar as a practicing attorney.
•Minimum 7 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm,
in-house counsel or government agency. •Experience counseling and
providing advice to clients. • Strong working knowledge of
international and commercial contracting regimes. Knowledge of U.S.
government contracting is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to operate
independently and lead legal initiatives without close supervision.
• Track record of taking primary ownership of complex, high impact
legal projects. • Skilled at energizing and partnering with cross
functional teams (e.g., program management, finance, engineering).
• Ability to translate sophisticated legal concepts into clear,
persuasive written and verbal communications skills. • Thrives
under tight deadlines and high volume workloads. • Self-starter
mentality with strong organizational and time management skills. •
Exceptional written drafting ability (contracts, opinions,
memoranda). • Excellent oral presentation and negotiation skills;
capable of influencing senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Desired skills • Ability to navigate a broad spectrum of legal
issues—contract formation, compliance, liability allocation, and
termination—efficiently and to translate complex fact patterns into
clear, actionable legal guidance. • Proven proficiency with AI
enabled contract analysis platforms, predictive analytics tools,
and automated risk assessment dashboards. • Skilled in leveraging
these technologies to accelerate risk identification, enhance the
accuracy of legal opinions, and improve the overall speed and
quality of decision making. • Track record of managing large,
concurrent caseloads while maintaining meticulous attention to
detail and meeting strict deadlines. • Demonstrated organizational
discipline and the capacity to prioritize competing demands without
sacrificing analytical rigor. • Strong interpersonal skills that
foster trusted relationships with business units, functional teams,
and senior leadership. • Ability to act as a legal partner,
providing counsel that aligns with business objectives while
safeguarding legal risk. • Familiarity with contemporary regulatory
frameworks such as export controls, cybersecurity standards, data
privacy statutes, and intellectual property considerations in
international contracts. • Capability to design and deliver
concise, targeted legal training to non-legal audiences, enhancing
organizational compliance and risk awareness. • Superior written
and oral communication skills, enabling the clear articulation of
sophisticated legal concepts to company stakeholders. •Flexibility
to travel internationally in support of contract negotiations as

Ability to work remotely Part-time Remote Telework: The employee
selected for this position will work part of their work schedule
remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed
Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed
during the hiring process. Work Schedule Information Lockheed
Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide
additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from
standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be
condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with
additional time away from the office and are in addition to our
Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This
position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US
Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range
for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York
(excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii,
Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or
Washington DC is $184,100 - $324,530. For states not referenced
above, the salary range for this position will reflect the
candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary
