Job Description:
Fidelity Investments, a global leader in financial services
based in Boston, MA, is seeking a highly seasoned Principal
Software Engineer to join our IT & Cybersecurity team. This role
focuses on advancing our technology infrastructure, enhancing
software solutions to meet our business and client needs, and
leading multiple development teams in high-stakes projects. The
ideal candidate will contribute to innovative technology
initiatives and streamline services to enhance user experience and
security in the financial services landscape. Lead and mentor teams
of software developers in the design, development, and
implementation of complex software solutions. Collaborate with
stakeholders to refine project specifications and requirements.
Oversee the integration of new technology solutions with existing
systems to improve service efficiency and security. Ensure the
successful execution of software projects from conception to
deployment, including troubleshooting and debugging. Advocate for
and apply best practices in software engineering, including agile
methodologies. Proficient in software development languages (e.g.,
Java, C++, Python) Experienced with database management and data
processing (SQL, NoSQL) Strong understanding of cloud services
(AWS, Azure) Expertise in Cybersecurity protocols and secure
software development Ability to lead and manage cross-functional
