Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?Key Responsibilities:Typical tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

• Creating and maintaining CMM programs and other non-contact inspection devices, to be used by operators for inspecting machined jet engine components of various size and complexity
• Preparing inspection plans based on part geometry, tolerances, GD&T and functional requirements for optimum performance and accuracy
• Performing correlation of CMM programs and executive software upgrades to ensure accuracy, comprehensiveness and robustness
• Evaluation and testing of new CMM hardware and software
• Maintaining CMM hardware and software
• Testing new technologies that may reduce inspection and programming times and improve accuracyBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • Minimum 2 years of CMM programming experience in LK Camio and or PC-DMIS
  • Knowledge of machining methods and practices, measuring probes, probe adaptors, machine dynamics, inspection methods, and interpretation of engineering drawings (blueprints)
  • Proficiency in advanced shop mathematics for trigonometric and geometric computationPreferred Qualifications:
    • Capable of adapting to changing computerized inspection technology
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
    • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
    • Formal GD&T and CMM training
    • Aerospace industry experience
    • Software experience with Polyworks, Geomagic, Python, Minitab and NX
    • Measurement system evaluation (gage R&R, methodology review, correlation studies, etc) in support of Manufacturing Readiness Levels, PPAP and Process Control.What is my role type?In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work.
