Job Description:
The Home Care Payroll and Billing Coordinator is responsible for
monitoring, maintaining, and preparing all payroll and billing
related items as it pertains to our time and attendance/billing
system(s). Working closely together with the Operations Department
/ Care Coordination (scheduling) and all other Change, Inc.
administration; the Finance Coordinator are the handlers of
billable and payable items such as billing exports, invoices
processing, billing reconciliation, payroll scrub, payroll import,
payroll manual entries, account payable data entry, system-based
audits & inquiries and weekly financial reporting.Essential

Scrub all activity within our time and attendance system(s)2.
Communicates regularly with Care Coordination to ensure that
changes made within the field are represented accurately within our
system(s)3. Maintains payroll processing system and records by
gathering, calculating, and inputting data.4. Regularly
scans/scrubs our portals and/or databases for accurate and updated
service orders/ authorization information5. Communicates directly
with care managers/community support clinicians for inaccuracies or
delays in service orders/authorizations6. Produces a weekly agency
wide Financial Report which encompasses departmental utilization,
client ineligibility issues, CT State Compliance results, and
various other measurable data items7. Ensures that all time and
labor information (system) is accurate and prepared for all
weekly/bi-weekly/monthly billing submissions and schedules8.
Maintains universal knowledge and functionality with other Finance
teammates within the department to ensure interchangeability9.
Conducts billing reconciliations upon receipt of Explanation of
Benefits/Remittance Advices10. Presents findings of missed billable
inputs, denied/partial payments, or other billing related
items/errors directly to the Director of Finance in a timely
manner11. Processes invoicing (Accounts Receivable)12. Handling
accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.13. Other duties
and/or projects as assigned by the Director of
FinanceRequirementsMust possess the ability to make independent
decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family
members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general
public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly,
emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the
facility. Must have exceptional communication skills for
interaction with supervisors, employees, residents, and
