We are looking for a talented Payroll Specialist to join our growing team!Lifeway Mobility provides accessibility solutions in order to improve the comfort, independence, dignity, and quality of life of those with limited ability.Our Mission:At Lifeway Mobility, our primary goal is to understand the accessibility needs of our customers and their caregivers, then to identify the appropriate products and services that will meet those needs. The Payroll Specialist administers the activities relating to Lifeway Mobility payroll and HRIS processing including onboarding, auditing new employee files to ensure completion, and processing pay and title changes. In addition, this role is responsible for tracking licensure required to do business in various states, in conjunction with the General Council. The successful Payroll Specialist will be:Processing payroll for hourly, salaried, and temporary employees; including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system, reviewing, approving and/or entering tax and direct deposit information, administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary.Recommending, implementing and maintaining payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with Human Resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes.Evaluating and implementing payroll/HRIS systems upgrades and changes.Responding to all unemployment claims and verifications of employment in a timely manner, working with Human Resources to insure appropriate response.Maintaining accurate employee records in payroll/HRIS systems.Producing scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll, finance, and human resources requirements.Administering all employee benefit programs including enrollments and terminations. This includes auditing for new enrollments or waivers and follow up.Coordinating and conducting the new employee onboarding process.Working with General Counsel to ensure that all licensure requirements updates, and gaps are identified and tracked.Other duties as neededLifeway Mobility is an Equal Opportunity Employer

Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess at least one year of experience in Payroll Administration for 100+ exempt and non-exempt, multiple state employees, strong knowledge of computer software applications, including HRIS/Payroll systems. Experience using Paylocity a plus. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations, and a strong understanding of Human Resources processes and terminology, payroll processes and procedures. Must be comfortable and able to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint a must.PI177573998
