Albany Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse III for our Critical Care Float Pool. This role will directly contribute to the medical center's mission of combining outstanding patient care with advanced medical education and research. The ideal candidate will provide critical care across various departments, ensuring adaptability and excellent patient outcomes in a high-pace setting. Deliver comprehensive nursing care in multiple critical care units, adjusting methods as dictated by changes in patient status. Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams to execute customized patient care plans. Maintain flexibility and readiness to float to different critical care units as needed, ensuring continuous patient support. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, health maintenance, and disease prevention. Adhere to all hospital and regulatory policies, update skills with ongoing education, and contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement efforts. Strong clinical skills with adaptability in various critical care settings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Adept in handling high-stress environments while maintaining patient care standards Proficiency in using electronic health record systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
