Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare education,
research, and patient care, is currently seeking a specialized
Clinical Nurse III for our Vascular and Interventional Radiology
(VIR) department. This role demands a qualified and experienced
nurse with a passion for improving patient outcomes and who thrives
in a technologically advanced, dynamic environment. As a key member
of our team, the Clinical Nurse III will provide high-quality
nursing care in complex and critical situations, utilizing the most
advanced imaging technologies to support and assist interventional
radiologists during procedures. Provide specialized nursing care
within interventional radiology settings. Assist interventional
radiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Monitor
patient status and provide timely interventions during procedures.
Educate patients and their families about procedures, care, and
follow-up needs. Maintain and manage radiology equipment and
supplies, ensuring all are within safety standards. Collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care plans.
Document all patient interactions and interventions in accordance
with compliance and regulatory standards. Advanced knowledge of
radiology and cardiovascular systems. Proficiency in operating
interventional radiology equipment. Strong analytical skills and
the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Excellent
patient care and communication skills. Capability to handle
multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse
(RN) licensure in the state of practice. Certification in Basic
Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Preferred: Certification in Radiologic Nursing (CRN).
