  • Hospital in CT is looking for a LDRP RN with a minimum of 2 years experience! ACLS, BLS, and NRP required as well as CT license.

      • Shifts: 8's and 12's varied starts 7-3:30, 3-11:30, 11-7:30
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other
      • Holidays: Every other or as needed
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: Pregnancy & Birth Center- L&D/PP- Level 2
        • # L&D Beds: 20 including PP
        • # triage beds: 3-5 beds
        • # births per day, per year: 1,000 a year
        • Ratios: L&D 1:1 on occasion 2:1. PP 304 mother baby couplets, Level II Nursery 1-3 infant per 1 RN
        • FHM System: Fetal Link
        • EMR: Cerner converting to Epic by Feb 2020
        • Charge Nurse is also Triage Nurse
        • PCT's- Surgical Tech's not shared with OR
        • Floating: All nurses are required to work PP
        • Floor specific orientation: 2-3 shifts
        • Common diagnosis/Types of patients: High risk, 33 Week, low risk. Everything below 33 weeks are shipped out. PP feeders and growers.
        • Tele: Yes, Nurses must be able to read and interpret strips.
        • Vents: Nursery only
        • OB/Neonatologist in house: OB in house 24/7, PA in house 24/7 covers for Neonatologist at night. Private OB providers cover own patients 24/7
        • IV Team: Yes 7am-8:30pm Must try first. Nurse Resource available 24/7 available for IV help 7pm-7am
        • RT 24/7: Yes
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
        • Scrub Color: Caribbean blue, able to wear black and white shirts under uniform, top layer must be uniform color. L&D- Provided. Should read only: Ciel Blue and hospital provided/laundered
