• Certifications needed for: Tele/Monitor Techs - All rooms have Phillips intelevue.

  • Hospital in CT is looking for an ICU nurse to start ASAP for 13 weeks.
  • Candidates for this position should be BLS and ACLS certified.
  • RN will be expected to float to the IMCU.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have CT License prior to subbing
    • Travel experience required
    • Epic experience required
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts: 12's 7am start time
      • Floating to tele or IMCU could be a 1:5 ratio
      • Floor specific orientation: 2 Shifts
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: ICU/IMCU
        • # of beds: 24
        • Ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:1 IMCU Day: 1:3 Nights: 1:4
        • EMR: Cerner converting to Epic by Feb 2020
        • Charge Nurse: Yes - Prefer no patient assignments
        • Nurse Aides: Yes - Ratio 1:8
        • Tele/Monitor Techs: Nurses must read and interpret strips.
        • Drips: All drips titrated
        • Vents: Avea, RT based out of ICU, IMCU - Bipap
        • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist 24/7
        • IV Team: Yes, with specific hours
        • RT 24/7: Centered out of CCU
        • Pharmacy 24/7: Available on the unit during the day
          • Additional Details
          • CVA TPA, AAA, MI (Cath lab only for diagnostics - No interventions done at this facility), Hypertension, Overdose, ETOH, Detoxing Precedex.
          • Whipples, GI bleed, ECOS, External temporary pacers, A-fib RVR, Septic shock.
          • Need strong customer service skills and compassion.
          • Very high acuity homeless, substance abuse and mental health patients.
          • Very difficult patients.
