Job Description:

Board Eligible/Board Certified hospitalist physician to join our dynamic and experienced team. The position is a 7 day block, starting on Saturdays. Weekend shifts are typical rounding positions while Monday to Friday is more admissions and triaging patients from the ED. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an attending hospitalist is strongly preferred but not required Experience with Epic EMR Willingness to participate in hospital committee work and quality improvement activities Hospitalist Expectations Clinical responsibilities include admitting, consultative services for the specialities, attending to RRTs and Codes, cross-covering patients, and discharges. Practice efficiently and effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment Flexible and responsive to patient needs and unexpected staffing changes Work collaboratively with specialists, which involves pre-operative assessments and co-management of surgical patients Applicant will be competent in managing a broad spectrum of patient diagnosis Minimum Qualifications: M.D. or D.O. licensed in the state of Connecticut. DEA license and CDS license Board certification (or eligibility within five years of employment) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Verification of residency training is required.
