Job Description:
Collaborates with systems developers to design dashboards and
reporting solutions that provide insights into sales associate and
team performance. Monitors fundamental economic, industrial, and
corporate developments by analyzing information from financial
publications and services, government agencies, trade publications,
company sources, and personal interviews. Identifies and resolves
reporting issues. Develops and executes strategies for analyzing
large quantities of data and identifying possible issues. Assesses
the execution and performance of sales teams by analyzing customer
relationship management (CRM) data and performs analysis on sales
associate effectiveness. Primary Responsibilities: Builds or queries relational databases or big data
environments. Develops dashboards or reporting using visualization tools. Leads the design of analytic user interfaces that provide timely
key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales associates and
leaders. Ensures the overall integrity of data and reporting. Identifies data points that may have been incorrectly
transmitted to regulators. Leads all phases of the analysis required to validate the
correctness of data through identifying the appropriate data
sources, sourcing the relevant data, performing complex analytics,
and reporting results. Exhibits sound judgment in determining methods of
escalation. Uses data to answer ad-hoc questions, as posed by the business,
or inquiries, as posed by the regulators. Creates new methods and queries to proactively identify
discrepancies in data across several reporting platforms or in the
flow of transaction data from upstream to downstream systems. Analyzes opportunities to identify areas of improvement in
existing procedures. Produces daily and/or monthly analysis for management
review. Informs investment decisions by analyzing financial information
to forecast business, industry or economic conditions. Escalates key or sensitive issues appropriately to
management. Provides requested data and expertise in determining the
accuracy and completeness of the reporting submitted. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Marketing
and Technological Innovation, Information Technology, Information
Systems, or a closely related field and five (5) years of
experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
performing business and systems analysis of solutions for licensed
financial services associates within a financial investment
services domain. Or, alternatively, a Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Marketing and Technological Innovation, Information
Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years
of experience performing business and systems analysis of solutions
for licensed financial services associates within a financial
investment services domain. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing complex data integration
and transformation for dashboard and reporting solutions, using SQL
and Alteryx; designing data workflows (using Alteryx) to integrate
data cross disparate sources -- Oracle databases and Salesforce --
for use in the creation of complex logical metric calculations;
performing exception-based data quality assurance and applying data
security practices; protecting and masking sensitive personally
identifiable information (PII) -- account and social security
numbers; and performing data security by creating and administer
user groups and managed permissions. DE developing reports and dashboard solutions to track financial
information performance of financial services associates and their
progress towards goals and commitments -- using Tableau, OBIEE,
Salesforce, data visualization, trending, and peer benchmarking;
performing data extraction, transformation, and loading, using SQL,
Alteryx, Salesforce Data Loader, and Salesforce Workbench. DE performing data analytics for financial service clients --
audit, risk, compliance, security, and retail investment roles; and
reporting on retail investment products, including managed accounts
and life insurance, using Tableau and OBIEE. DE supporting product delivery and project management --
performing business, systems, and data analysis (using Visio and
SharePoint), process and use case modeling, management
communication, project and business risk management, storying
writing, and sprint tracking (using JIRA) -- in a financial
services domain, following Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
