Description SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL FUNCTIONDirector of IDD Residential Services provides leadership to a highly trained, highly skilled team of Assistant directors, supervisors, direct support professionals and their leaders while partnering with leaders from departments who support the daily operations of the organization's diverse service delivery system. They support the Senior Vice President of IDD Services and the Chief Program Officer.The director is responsible for strategic growth, development, implementation and oversight of IDD services. They develop and lead teams of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals and support staff ensuring a strong, dynamic and innovative workforce. They lead and teach with empathy, creativity, respect, knowledge and skill thus assisting in the development of services for people with developmental disabilities and complex forensic, behavioral and mental health challenges to include utilization of evidence based modalities such as ABA, PECS, TEECH, SCIP and NAPPI. Scope of Responsibilities:In this position, Director of IDD Residential Services will have the following major responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with partners in executive, senior, middle and front line leadership and support departments.
  • Collaborates with state, county, health care professionals and other developmental disabilities program providers.
  • Represents agency in leadership roles in various professional and state, county and local government committees.
  • Collaborate with funding and regulatory oversight agencies.
  • Responsible for the financial performance for IDD programs.
  • Responsible for department and corporate growth and financial goals
  • Inspires and leads staff to pursue expert training in evidence-based service delivery for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Leads the process of program certification for IDD services: implementation and monitoring of systemic improvements and corrections.
  • Analyze data to improve and implement billing practices and efficiencies to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Vice President of IDD Services to ensure integrated quality service delivery to service recipients, facilitating inter-departmental response and coordinated services well-designed to meet each recipient's needs.
  • Maintains all licenses and certifications required for the operation of IDD services.
  • Oversight of services and training certifications as necessary.
  • Assists in planning, partnering and securing service expansion opportunities to meet the needs of the community and support the operations of the organization.
  • Budget development and implementation and manage cost centers at multiple locations to maximize revenue and control expenses.
  • Key contributor to Corporate Planning process and ensures implementation Key Performance Indicators.
  • Chairs and participates on a wide range of committees of the organization.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures designed to promote agency philosophy to build a positive agency image.
  • Promotes and supports Vision and Staff retention events and activities
  • Co-leads culture change using technology and social media
  • Participates and leads external and internal committees SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership: Oversees: 24-hour supervised IRAs, activities with the assistance of the following teams of Middle, Senior and Executive leadership, and as designated by the SVP of IDD services and Chief Operating Officer. Budget Responsibilities: Has budget responsibilities for all IRA related functions The candidate must:
    • Demonstrate a comprehensive depth of knowledge of all IDD services.
    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of OPWDD regulatory, compliance, quality improvement and quality assurance standards.
    • Demonstrate and promote 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for the service recipients and direct and indirect reports.
    • Coordinate and lead program operations to achieve quality of care and efficiency while maintaining regulatory standards.
    • Develop a common direction for the team. Set priorities and make team strategy clear to all direct and indirect reports.
    • Support the development and operation of clinical supports that meet individual needs.
    • Support the development of skill acquisition to facilitate quality service delivery, promoting a strong, dynamic customer satisfaction focused workforce.
    • Demonstrate excellent project management and quality improvement skills
    • Promote respect for each person and his/her family's life choices and individuality, facilitating quality outcomes for the people served and the community.
    • Demonstrate commitment to inspiring and promoting customer satisfaction throughout IDD services. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
    • Reports to the Senior Vice President of IDD
    • Partners with Director of Clinical Services on clinically complex individuals
    • Positions accountable to your position:

      • Advises, consults, and coordinates with:
        • Executive Team and Senior leadership team
        • Middle Leaders and Supervisors EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, rehabilitation or a related field with over five years of related and progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience in a similar industry or field. Experience supporting individuals with Autism and complex behavioral challenges and familiar with ABA, PECS and TEECH. OrAn Associate's Degree in a related field with over ten years of related and progressively responsible leadership and supervisory experience in a similar industry or field. Experience supporting individuals with Autism and complex behavioral challenges and familiar with ABA, PECS and TEECH.PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB
