If you're interested in a health system that's both growing and award-winning, serving a diverse community that provides the best of both city and rural life, we invite to make your career home with us as a Medical Director on our Pediatrics team at/in Garnet Health Medical Center-Doctors. - Responsibilities Lead, plan, direct, coordinate and administer Garnet Health's Pediatric, Women's Health and Neonatology programs and services, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of medical, nursing and other staff. Provide patient clinical care and manage medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, pediatric inpatients & outpatients (hospitalist & general outpatient medicine). Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and coordinating financial reporting. Support the development of the outpatient pediatric program providing access to underserved population which meet quality metrics, support practice growth and fulfills population health management requirements. Provide call coverage of pediatric services at Middletown & Catskill campuses. Oversee outsourced neonatology services, including staffing, clinical quality & continued program growth. Direct and/or conduct recruitment, hiring, termination, training, and performance assessments of Dept. personnel. Proactively monitor and ensure compliance with evidence based clinical standards, HIPPA regulations, DNV standards and Garnet Health's mission statements, corporate compliance policies, and procedures. Manage relationships with private groups in Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Consult with medical, business, and community groups to discuss pediatric medical services, respond to community needs, enhance public relations, coordinate activities and plans, and/or promote pediatric health programs in medically underserved area.   • M.D.* or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy required (*Or foreign equivalent consisting of a foreign medical degree and ECFMG certification). AND
    • 2 years of experience (a) as a Pediatric Hospitalist, (b) providing pediatric outpatient care at community health centers, (c) providing pediatric inpatient care, including ED admissions, consults, high risk deliveries, transfer of critical care patients to tertiary care facility, newborn care in Term and Intensive care nursery, and (d) providing pediatric care in a medically underserved area, including neonatal care. AND Other Requirements:
      • Completion of Residency in Pediatrics
      • Experience training medical residents and students
      • Membership in American Academy of Pediatrics
      • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics
      • Unrestricted Valid NY State Medical License
      • Unrestricted Valid D.E.A. Certificate
      • NRP and PALS certifications
      • Current Opioid Prescriber Training Certificate
