Job Description:
Our client, a dedicated public housing organization, is seeking
a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance
Technician, you will be part of the Housing Department supporting
the maintenance and safety of residential properties. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a
proactive approach, which will align successfully in the
organization. Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Cohoes,
NY Pay Range: $25/hour Shift: 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
What's the Job? Perform routine maintenance and repairs in occupied
and vacant housing units, including plumbing, carpentry, drywall,
flooring, and basic electrical work Conduct preventative
maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently Prepare
vacant units for new occupancy, including repairs, cleaning
coordination, and inspections Operate hand tools, power tools, and
maintenance equipment safely and effectively Identify maintenance
issues requiring specialized contractors and report findings to
supervisors What's Needed? High school diploma or GED required One
(1) year or more of experience in building maintenance,
construction, or a related trade preferred Working knowledge of
general maintenance practices and repair techniques Ability to
follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work
