Job Description Job Description We are working with a prominent, regional, full-service firm seeking a Trusts & Estates Paralegal with at least three years of experience to join one of their New York offices with Albany, NY being the preferred location. The team provides a variety of comprehensive legal services to high-net worth individuals, families, and businesses. The ideal candidate must have estate administration experience, and experience preparing estate and trust accountings . They will interact with a wide variety of clients in person, on the phone, via email and video conference; draft, edit and review probate and administration related documents; assist clients with retitling assets; assemble and organize financial records for estate tax returns and audits; prepare, edit, and review estate tax returns; and prepare fiduciary income tax returns and settlement papers for both formal and informal settlement of estates and trusts. Experience with New York Probate administration and filing, and trust accounting is required. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook). Successful candidates will have a high level of initiative; exceptional oral and written communication skills; superior organizational skills; strong proofreading and analytical skills; and well-developed interpersonal skills. Notary public credential is a plus but not required. Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester & Syracuse Applicants: The target base salary range is $65,000 - $78,000 commensurate with experience. New York City Applicants: The target base salary range is $80,000 to $95,000 commensurate with experience.
